Well I told a little story last week on my first post...I apologize I did not make what I had planned on with the prize I won. Blame it on the shopping I did all day yesterday, but I did get some great deals!!! Gotta love a clearance....and I loved a few on Saturday.
And you will see the results of my shopping in future posts. So now onto to my Breakfast from the Past, it is Breakfast Burito's. Why the past, well I used to make these alot for an ex-boyfriend, and I was reminded at Christmas how well he loved them. (I am friends with his sister, and no amonisty between us...we dated over 15 years ago) I have to give credit to McDonald's as they were the inspiration for mine, I just wanted homemade instead going to them. And plus it always tastes better when you make it at home with love....right?
So here is what you need:
1 pkg Jimmy Dean Sausage - Regular
8 Eggs - Beaten until a little frothy, this will make them light and fluffy
4 oz can Green Chilie's
10 Flour Tortilla's
10 Slices of Kraft American Cheese - Melts Better
Pace Picante Sauce
Makes 10
Cook the Sausage (crumbly, like you do for sausage gravy) and set aside, clean the pan for the eggs (saves dishes later) Excuse the stove top...We are currently in a Townhouse Apt.
Cook the Eggs, adding in the green chili's and set aside again in clean the pan.
Yes that is a Pampered Chef Bamboo Spoon...I love PC!
Heat up the tortilla's in the same pan.
Take a sllice of cheese, fold in half to tear, place longways in the middle of the tortilla
Add some egg and chile mixture
Then add some sausage
Top with some Picante Sauce
Fold Up
And Enjoy
Two per persone is plenty....
I hope ya'll enjoy these, we sure did. And I will not forget about these again!
This looks yummy...
